Post-processing of images, signal analysis, and pattern recognition techniques may be used to conduct Automatic Defect Recognition (ADR). ADR is proprietary imaging software used to evaluate analog and digital radiographic data without operator intervention. Regions of interest are programmed using captured digital radiographic data. The system’s imaging software then analyzes each region for defects. ADR software also provides statistical process control data and may be configured to automatically alert quality managers and factory personnel when nonconforming material or process deviations exceed preset levels
