Job Description:
- The Project Manager has primary
responsibility to assemble and manage the project team, define
scope, develop and manage project plans and project budgets(P
& L).
- The Project Manager is to
be the primary point of contact for the customer.
- The PM directs activities, project objectives, reviews, risk management, change control processes, project communications and ensures project compliance with the Project Management Methodology.
- Makes decisions within the context of established goals and objectives using general guidelines or accepted business practices where available. May develop or modify existing methods to improve quality or reliability of existing products or services. May provide technical leadership and mentoring to others.
- Must be able to thrive in a fast paced, demanding environment; must be able to quickly assess project status and take appropriate action to control and communicate project scope, schedule, and budget.
- Possible travel up to 25%.
Essential Skills:
-
Degree in Engineering or related field; will consider 5 to 7 years of comparable engineering experience as equivalent.
- Two to four years of technical project management experience in support of external customers.
- Excellent communication skills. Written & verbal.

Must have organizational and time management skills.
- Must be able to operate independently with minimal guidance by management.

Must be able to manage multiple tasks.
- Must be able to step into projects already in progress or in need of rescue.
Non-Essential Skills:
- APICS and/or NAPM membership preferred.
- Experience with MRP a plus (GP Dynamics)
